
Superintendent of Ritchie County Schools, April Haught, visited third and fourth grade students from Harrisville Elementary School today while they participated in their Mini Olympics field day at the town park!

Students will head to the town park by 8:15am (please be on time for school). Once the activities are completed, students will return to school for lunch and the awards.


A special thank you to our wonderful mom's. The love and support you provide allows your children to come to school ready to learn. We appreciate you.


🎭Harrisville Elementary School first and second grades (on Wednesday) and third and fourth grades (today) had the pleasure of watching the production of Peter Pan at Ritchie County High School. The high school theater group put on an AMAZING show, and our students and staff loved it. Their dedication and hard work was truly awesome. It was great to see many former gators up on the stage! 🐊




🍪🥪THANK YOU to our H.E.S. PTO for providing lunch for the staff today. It was delicious and so appreciated.
The staff at H.E.S. is very thankful for all of the generous businesses and individuals that have honored them this week. ♥️


🍗🥔🍪A big Thank You to Shop N Save, another Partner in Education with H.E.S., for the chicken, scalloped potatoes, and cookie cake yesterday. Also thanks to our cooks for fixing the yummy food. It was delicious and appreciated!


🍕💌The preschool classes had a great time on their walking field trip. They made pizzas at the Pizza House, mailed out their Mother’s Day cards at the Post Office, and got to play at the Town Park. There were some very happy kiddos after all of that fun!








🎨🖌️🛝H.E.S. first graders enjoyed a field trip to the The Watering Can Art Studio located in the Grand Central Mall where they were able to paint cups. Then they had lunch and got to play at the City Park. The kiddos had a lot of fun!











🍝🥗🥖🍰A BIG thanks to Kevin Jones from Ritchie County Pre-Owned Auto here in Harrisville, for providing DaVinci’s for lunch for the staff today. Another BIG thanks to Michelle Clark for the cake. Everything was delicious and appreciated!



Save the date for our high school theatre group’s presentation of Peter Pan. They will have two performances. The first will be this Friday, the 12th of May at 6:30. The second will be on Saturday, May 13th at 1:30. Please plan to come out and support this group and all of their hard work. Tickets will be sold at the door.

📚💰Last week, the preschool classes at Harrisville Elementary School, had a great time on their walking field trip. They enjoyed hearing a story and doing a craft at the library. They also loved visiting West Union Bank and learning all about money!💰📚

🐛🦋Mrs. Laugh’s preschool class learned about the life cycle of butterflies. They loved watching the caterpillars form their chrysalises, and then break out as butterflies. They let the butterflies go out into nature on Thursday.🐛🦋

Harrisville Elementary School has the BEST cooks around! We are thankful for all that they do. Preschool shared cards and flowers, and some other classes made decorations for the cafeteria to help them celebrate their special day!
