We are excited to celebrate Read Across America Week, March 2nd–6th with a fun-filled Spirit Week at Harrisville Elementary School! Let’s celebrate the joy of reading together!

Ritchie County Schools Snow Day Status and Calendar Adjustment
**As of February 2, 2026**
Ritchie County has utilized the allowed 5 NTI days and 5 Inclement Weather "Snow Days" and will be adjusting the calendar as follows: Last Day of School for Students is now May 29, 2026.

May 28th and May 29th are now instructional days.
Ritchie County Schools Calendar is subject to change. We will keep you informed!

✨ Important Details:
Students should arrive no earlier than 5:30 PM.
Parents/guardians should drop students off in the Commons Area with HES staff.
After their grade-level performance, students will be waiting in the hallway to be picked up by a parent/guardian.

Harrisville Elementary PTO will be hosting the Santa Store December 8–12! A form has been sent home for families to complete and return with money for the items students would like to purchase.

πŸ›οΈ Students may bring up to $15, and each item is $3.
✨ If there are items left over, students will have the opportunity to shop a second time later in the week.
