Parent pick-up is now in the HS parking lot behind the home bleachers- NOT the student/faculty parking lot.
Students a strict cellphone policy will be reinforced starting tomorrow. Cell phones will only be permitted prior to 1st block and lunch. No cell phones are permitted in the academic wing.

As the staff of Ritchie County Schools came back to start the 23-24 school year, we had some special people awarded for their achievements. Congratulations go to each of these people. Andy Cain earned the Jeff Sheets award for bus drivers. Bonnie Holbert was awarded our 23-24 Service Person of the Year Award. Heather Lafferre was awarded our 23-24 Teacher of the Year Award. We also honored our retirees at our assembly. Congratulations to all of our retirees. Rusty Gay and Janet Dodd are pictured here with their awards. We are so thankful to each of these people for their dedication to the students of Ritchie County. We hope to have an amazing year. We can’t wait to see our young people when school starts on the 17th.
Don't forget Freshman Transition is tonight from 6-8 pm. Please use the front entrance to enter. Students are welcome to come at any time and stay as long as needed. Refreshments will be provided between 6-7 pm and a parent session will begin at 7 pm.
Tonight is Freshman Transition Night. All incoming freshman and their parents are encouraged to attend. We are looking forward to welcoming you to Ritchie County High School.

Fifth Grade Transition Camp will be conducted at Ritchie County Middle School Thursday, August 3rd, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. .
Breakfast and lunch will be served to students.
A parent/guardian information session will begin at 8:30 a.m. . Student entrance will be in the back loop by the RCHS gym.

Ritchie County High School Fall Sports will begin on Monday, July 31 for all fall teams except for cheer. The first day practice information is below. Student-athletes are reminded that they must have a current physical on file before participating in practice. Good luck during the upcoming season!
Cheer - August 7 at 9am in the HS Gym
Cross Country - July 31 at 6pm in the HS Commons Area
Football - July 31 at 8am at the football field
Golf - July 31 at 8am at North Bend Golf Course
Volleyball - July 31 at 3pm in the HS Gym
Attention Students! Your 2023-2024 class schedule has been mailed. If you are missing two morning classes or two afternoon classes, then you may be scheduled to attend MOVTI. Schedule changes can be requested starting August 7 by calling the high school office.
