Good Afternoon families and students! Please excuse our progress at the High School. Ritchie County Schools is working on improving the back patio at RCHS. The new improvements will include ADA parking for school events and represents a significant investment in improving our School System. The new area will create more functional, welcoming, and accessible space for students, families, and community events.

Ritchie County Schools would like to thank our retiring teachers for your incredible dedication, passion, and decades of selfless service to our schools and community. Throughout your careers, you have done so much more than teach—you have inspired curiosity, shaped young minds, mentored future leaders, and provided a safe, encouraging space for generations of students to grow. The countless hours spent grading, lesson planning, and supporting students both in and out of the classroom have left an indelible mark on our school system that will be felt for years to come. Collectively, this groups has devoted over 161 years to our students, schools, and community! While your presence, wisdom, and daily encouragement will be deeply missed, we celebrate the well-deserved next chapter of your lives. We are so proud of our Ritchie County FFA students for participating in the annual Ritchie County Fair Livestock Sale!

These dedicated students have poured countless hours, hard work, and heart into raising and caring for their livestock projects over the past several months. The livestock sale represents the culmination of their dedication, responsibility, and agricultural excellence.

Good afternoon, RCHS students and families! Mark your calendars! Friday, August 14th at 9:30am, West Virginia University of Parkersburg Early College Team will be visiting us on campus to help our students in registering for the Fall 2026 semester.

Here is the updated Sports Pass Information for the 2026-2027 School year.

General admission prices for all home events (not including sectional, regional, or state sponsored events) will be $5 person. Children ages 5 years an under will be admitted for free.

All Sports Season Pass- Adult $125, Senior Adults (60+) $85, High School Senior Parent $75, Non-HS student (1st - 8th grade) $75.

All Sports Family Pass- $400 (Price includes passes up to 4 family members. Each additional pass is $50)

Football Hill Pass (only 25 available) or Stadium Reserved Parking (only 10 available) $40 (Does not include game admission)

Football Reserved Seating $30 (Does not include game admission)

Ritchie County High School Student Passes $50 (Price includes 1 all sports season pass and 1 RCHS t-shirt. Students must present their pass to gain admission.

Season passes can be purchased at the Back to School Bash Friday, August 21st or in person at Ritchie County High School from 9:00am - 2:00pm starting Tuesday, August 4th. Passes are non-transferrable and good only for the 2026-2027 school year. You must present your pass to enter each home event. The deadline for purchasing is Friday, September 11th.

Welcome to Ritchie County High School to the Class of 2030! Transition Camp will be August 10th from 5-7PM. Please meet in the Cafeteria at 5PM. Join us at RCHS for a chance to try out your locker, explore the hallways, talk to staff and see your friends before the school year kicks off!

Golf season begins Monday August 3 from 4-6PM at North Bend Golf Course. Please bring your completed physical with you to practice.

Ritchie County Families and Students:

Ritchie County Middle and High School Cross Country Practice will begin August 3, 2026. 6pm- Practice and Parent Meeting. For the Parent Meeting- Enter using the high school front doors. Athletes need to bring Physical, Shoes, Watch, and Water.

Grades 1st-12th: Thursday, August 13, 2026
Kindergarten: Monday, August 17, 2026
Preschool: Monday, August 24, 2026.

Open House will be August 11, 2026. Please watch for more information from individual schools.

Good afternoon, RC Band students and parents. There will be a mandatory parent and student meeting for all marching band members on Tuesday, June 16th at 6PM in the high school band room. All parents and students should plan to attend. This meeting will provide summer schedule, band camp information and fall schedule of events.
