🐷🐷🐷Mrs. Murphy’s kindergarten class has been working on the story The Three Little Pigs in Unit 4 Knowledge. Students had to use gum drops and toothpicks to build a house that the big, bad wolf (which was a blow dryer) could not blow down. They loved the fun activity.

🦷🪥The mobile dentist will be at Harrisville Elementary School on November 6th. Permission slips will be coming home if you would like to take advantage of this service. You can also sign up online at www.MySchoolDentist.com🦷🪥

Dash Robots make their first visit to school this year. These youngsters enjoyed getting to learn how to make their robot walk and talk. As you can tell by the smiles, they had a great time.

It was surprise attendance day #3 at H.E.S. today! Students were able to shop at the farmers market to bring home fresh produce. Special thanks to our PTO, WVU Extension Services, and Lakeview Market for making this possible for our students. 🍅🥒🧅🍎

The Grange visited HES and provided every 3rd grader with a dictionary!
The Grange is a national society of farmers that initially set out to provide farmers with up to date agricultural information, to lobby against high railroad transportation costs and high tariffs on imported goods, and for rural mail delivery. The Grange offers services to members and is highly involved in charitable activities in their local communities. The group also continues to offer many educational programs to farmers, and focuses on the next generation of farmers through its Junior Grange program. They do a wide range of community service acts regularly and we are super thankful that they spent the time with us yesterday and shared their wisdom with us!
