Thursday, February 8, 2024 - Cozy for a Cause at H.E.S.

This week is National School Counseling Week. We would like to thank Kayleigh Board for supporting all our elementary students.

What a great way to wrap up a unit about Native Americans with a visit from Drew Waepew-Awaehsaeh. He is a Bear Tribe Indian from the Menominee Wisconsin Tribe. He truly helped to educate the children about his tribe. He also allowed the children time to ask questions based on what they had learned in their unit of study. They were amazed to find that his tribe had never lived in teepee’s but in longhouses. The children were also amazed by his handmade outfit. He said this was his powwow attire. Along with talking to the students he also performed a powwow dance for the children. We are greatful that he took of his time to come in and visit with the kindergarten classes at the school.

This is a quick look at the help tools available to our high school students on the county website.

Once again when you click on the explore button, you also have a choice to see student tools. There are a variety of helps available to students. These vary depending if you are in elementary, middle or high school.

When you click on your school, be sure to check out the Explore button at the top. Today’s picture takes you to the valuable tools for the parents.

The other button at the bottom of the app is to pick your school. Each school works to keep you informed of important dates. These can be found by their gallery of pictures and in their events section. Click on your school and check it out.

Special services are also available to assist you and your child on the website app. The technology section might help you if you are struggling with technology at home. Please feel free to reach out if you need help.

Reminder! Please complete this form and return no later than Jan 29th if you are wanting to attend the candle lit lasagna dinner.
