We have officially crossed the finish line of another incredible school year! Ritchie County Schools would like to thank our wonderful students, dedicated staff, and supportive families for making this year such a success.

Doctor Jones and her 2nd grade interns are hard at work. The interns are rotating through stations focused on important math and reading concepts. 🩺 These young interns have successfully finished their Amplify Unit: The Human Body!

Reminder:
No School- Tuesday May 12th, Election Day

Parents or Guardians, Students in grades 3 and 4 have been completing their GSA this week. If your child has completed Reading, Writing, and Math, those scores are now available in the "Parent Portal" (https://wv.portal.cambiumast.com/families.html). The access code has been sent to your child's school email address. Please keep in mind that your child has to complete both the Reading and Writing to receive an English Language Arts (ELA) score. Also, up to 5% of test scores are pulled to be hand scored by the West Virginia Department of Education.

If you need assistance access your child's school email, please contact the school office.

We would also like to thank all the parents and students for making testing a priority this week! We have had great attendance!

🎨 CCES Fine Arts Night Reminder 🎨 Calling all 3rd & 4th grade families! Join us on April 21, 2026 for our CCES Fine Arts Night, where student artwork will be proudly displayed throughout the school. Come celebrate the creativity and hard work of our students! 🍪 Refreshments will be provided by the PTO 🕓 The PTO meeting will take place at 4:15 PM—feel free to stop in while you’re enjoying the showcase! We hope you can join us for a wonderful evening supporting our young artists!

We are gearing up for a busy week at CCES! 📚 Monday–Wednesday: BOGO Book Fair Checks can be made payable to the CCES PTO, or you may send cash with your student. 📌 Tuesday: LSIC Meeting at 9:30 AM 🚌 Wednesday: • Kindergarten Field Trip • County Spelling Bee – The top two contestants from each grade level will compete. Students should arrive at RCHS no later than 5:15 PM. If your student is unable to attend, please contact the school office as soon as possible. ⭐ Attendance Drawing: This week is also our monthly attendance drawing! All students with perfect attendance for the week will be entered to win a prize.
