What time should students arrive at school?
Students should arrive between 7:30 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. and report to the gymnasium. All children eat breakfast in the cafeteria prior to the start of school. Classroom instruction begins at 8:00 a.m. It is very important that students arrive to school on time and are ready to start class by 8:00 a.m.!
What time should I pick up my child at the end of the day?
Students can not be picked up before 3:05 p.m. unless they are signed out for a doctor's appointment, meeting, etc. If you are picking up students at the end of the day, you may wait at the front entrance of the school.
When my child returns to school after an absence what do they need?
You need to send in an excuse with your child within 48 hours of their return to school. If they have seen a medical professional during that time, a note from that office should be sent with your child. Only five parent notes are permitted as excused absences per semester. Students need to check with teachers about make-up work. Students are allowed one day to complete make-up work for each day that was missed.
I need to change where my child is going after school, what is the best way to do this?
It is preferred that all arrangements be made and a note sent with your child to school that morning. However, we realize situations do arise occasionally. If this is the case, we would prefer you call as early as possible during the day with the arrangements to avoid confusion at the end of the school day.
What if I want to eat lunch with my child?
Please call the school or let the office know by 9:30 a.m. so that an accurate lunch count can be made. You must sign in the office when you enter and pay in the cafeteria. Please remember to sign out when you leave.
How do I volunteer at school?
All volunteers must attend a confidentiality training that is offered at the beginning of the year. Once confidentiality training is completed, your name will be submitted for board approval. As a need arises, we will call you requesting your help.
